Sisters

Will they
always
get along
like they
do now?
In my experience, probably not. So I will enjoy it while it last.

Presley Update

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

Presley is changing so much each day. It amazes me how quickly she picks up on new things. She is now crawling, slowly, but she is crawling. If she needs to get somewhere quickly, she rolls there. She can go from lying down to sitting, all by herself. Just tonight she started feeding herself Puffs. My favorite new trick of hers is that she says Mama. Of course she is not calling me Mama, it is more like she is saying mamamamamamamamamama, but she said it first. Not Dada! HAHA!

She is such a happy, smiley baby. I love her smile. I love her laugh. She is ticklish, especially under her neck. She started giving me kisses. They are the best, most slobbery, sweetest kisses. She eats 3 meals a day and nurses 6 times. She gets up once a night, and wakes up around 6:15. She naps twice a day. She has 2 teeth and knows how to use them. She loves anything she can get in her mouth. She loves to be outside. She loves to play with her sister. She does not like when her sister takes toys from her. She flaps her arms when she is excited. She adores her daddy, but is still a mommy's girl.

3

It's hard to believe that Rebecca is 3 now. She is actually 3 years, 1 month, and 2 days by now, but who's counting, right? We had a Princess Party in our backyard to celebrate.

Rebecca started off her birthday on the wrong side of the bed and had a melt down in the middle of her party, but it was her party. She could cry if she wanted to. She finally got out of her funk after a quick nap. We topped off the day with her first real mani/pedi. So fun!

New Tradition

Thursday, September 9, 2010

The Denton crew has started a new tradition. My dad's hunting club recently added on to their kitchen and added a community room and bed rooms that are available to rent. As soon as John saw them last Christmas, he decided that the Denton family needed to rent them out for Labor Day weekend. Who would have know that it was the making for a perfect weekend?

Everything was great! All of my sisters and their families were able to come. The weather was great. Their was tons to do. Rebecca loved every minute of it. She adores her cousins. Presley loved spending time with her BFF, Ambrose.

We did a little bit of everything. We ate great. We rode 4 wheelers. We skipped rocks. We went fishing. We ate great. We took long walks. We watched great football. We enjoyed great weather. We sat on the front porch in rockers while the babies napped. We watched Daddy hit an apple with a bow and arrow. We played with Journey the cat. We saw wildlife...snakes, deer, turkey, rabbits, jumping fish, frogs, a dead mouse, and a few dogs. We heard gun shots from a nearby dove hunt. We got extremely dirty, the most dirty that Rebecca has ever been in her life. We went boating. We swam in the lake. Did I mention we ate?

It was so much fun that we have already booked the place for next Labor Day.

Tree-frog

Wednesday, September 8, 2010

We have a new pet.

A tree-frog to be exact.

I HATE tree-frogs, but not this one.

This tree-frog is one of the cutest tree-frogs I have ever seen.

It's a girl. Her name is Rebecca.

Rebecca started school yesterday, and her class is called the Tree-frogs. It is a large class full of girls. 12 to be exact.

She was not excited to go to school yesterday morning, even though she had asked several times over the summer if she could go to school. However, as soon as we got there she ran into the classroom. I had to run after her to get a kiss.

It was a great first day of school for my little Tree-frog.

Wave Bye Bye!

Friday, September 3, 2010

Rebecca and I started going to Gymboree when she was 3 months old. She loved it. It was a great place to play, climb, sing, dance, pretend, and make friends. We met a few of Rebecca's closest friends at Gymboree. I met a few of my closest friends at Gymboree.

This post is back from when Rebecca graduated out of Level 1. Last Monday was her last class. She graduated out of Level 6. It was sad day for me, but as you can see, Rebecca had a ball.

Gymbo the Clown waves bye-bye, waves bye-bye, waves bye-bye. Gymbo the Clown waves bye-bye, bye-bye to you. Bye-bye, Rebecca!
