I have had a few questions about where I get Rebecca's clothes, so I thought that I would take this opportunity to share my "tricks of the trade."

I am very luck that I have two sisters who each have 3 year old girls.  They have been very nice to share their hand-me-downs.

My mom also makes a lot of Rebecca's clothes.  She is very good!  I think that we all need to learn to sew.  I am actually thinking of asking for a sewing machine for my birthday and some sewing lessons. (Hint, hint Mom!)

I get a lot of Rebecca's "playclothes" at Gap Kids or Gymboree, but I very rarely pay full price for these clothes.  Both of these stores have lots of sales, especially Gymboree who is constantly changing over their lines.  I also buy things in advance. I have begun shopping for Rebecca for next spring already, because I am able to get things on sale now.

This dress was bought at Gap last summer for this spring.

I am a sucker for anything smocked or appliquéd.  I will, but rarely, splurge at a children's boutiques.  I check websites often for their sales items.  Kelly's Kids is a great website.  Their clothes are pricy, but not too bad if bought on sale.  I just got a smocked dress and two blouses for this fall from there and spent less than $50.
My favorite trick is to find a friend or relative who can get you into the Apparel Mart.  I am lucky enough to live in a city that has an Apparel Mart, and even luckier that I have a wonderful cousin that can get me in to it.   This is where I get most of my smocked and appliquéd clothing for a fraction of what it would be in stores.  But you have to be able to plan ahead.  This summer I will shop for Rebecca's winter wardrobe.

I hope this answers some questions.  Happy shopping!

You defintley have some serious skills! I should take your advice, because I have some real problems in boutiques. I just can't stop myself! ;)
